Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon to join one of New Zealand’s largest District Health Boards.


About the service:

Based in the city of Hamilton, this Orthopaedic Unit operates with 54 adult beds across 2 wards, plus paediatric beds in a paediatric ward. The team covers all subspecialties with the exception of paediatric spinal surgery.


About the role:

Join three existing orthopaedic spine surgeons in this role which includes general orthopaedics as well as management of orthopaedic trauma and involvement in outreach clinics. There will be an on-call component to the position.


Required skills & experience:

You will have significant experience and Fellowship training in adult spinal surgery and care.


This is a challenging role which demands outstanding professional skills, commitment to the specialty and a vision of providing a team-based service founded on excellence in all aspects of the business.

  • Applicants must be suitable qualified Medical Practitioners with an Australasian Fellowship in Orthopaedics or recognised equivalent.
  • To be considered you must be registered or eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of NZ.

This is a full time, permanent position.
