Product Design Engineer

Product Design Engineers, there has never been a better time than now to move to New Zealand, with the occupation being selected by the New Zealand Government to be eligible for the straightforward ‘Straight to Residency’ pathway on tier 1 of the Green list

Day to day responsibilities may include:

  • Design and development of components as per requirement / standards.
  • Develop detailed implementation plans and execute as per plan and following up the task to keep on track
  • Reporting of the progress, issues & action plans to the Project management
  • Prototype building and proof of concept
  • Technical discussion with supplier to ensure parts are made as per specification
  • Part validation through testing and review the results with customer
  • Review and provide feedback on the Parts/Assembly Fit & Function
  • Costing out parts through DFMA (Design for manufacturing & assembly)
  • Complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

Ideally, your experience may include:

  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge and experience using design tools
