Analyst Programmer

There has never been a better time than now to move to New Zealand as an Analyst Programmer, with the occupation being selected by the New Zealand Government to be eligible for the straightforward ‘Straight to Residency’ pathway on tier 1 of the Green list.

Day - to - day responsibilities may include:

  • Install troubleshoot systems.
  • Develop and maintain applications and databases by evaluating client needs, analysing requirements, and developing software systems.
  • Identifying requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual clients.
  • Program the computer by encoding and adding project requirements in computer language.
  • Maintaining the company website.
  • Confirming program operation by conducting tests.
  • Arranging project requirements in programming sequence by analysing requirements.
  • Providing custom reports using database and report-writing tools.
  • Responding to IT-related issues and provides support where necessary.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
  • Keeping equipment operational by calling for repairs and following manufacturer’s instructions.

Ideally, your experience will include:

  • Experience in applications support, maintenance and development in a complex systems environment
  • Participated in Agile development teams
  • Great communication skills
  • Strong Technical Skills
  • Object orientated design and coding
  • SQL, associated queries, database design and optimisation
  • Web application design and frameworks
  • Java
  • XSD/XSLT Stylesheets
  • .NET, C#, Unix, HTML, CSS, XML, Informix, Oracle.
  • HL7 standard knowledge
  • Xamarin
